If you haven’t been introduced to Pacsafe, you’re missing out! Pacsafe is the #1 seller of anti-theft travel gear on Amazon. It’s also highly popular and recommended by other, more well known female solo travelers (such as AdventurousKate for example). Here’s a few of my favorites!
PacSafe Travelsafe 12L GII Portable Travel Safe
Have you ever been in a situation where you had no way of keeping your valuables safe? I know I have, countless times. You have to choose between carrying around your passport and credit cards on your actual person (no fun if you’re going swimming, bungee jumping, or any other fun thing you’re probably planning on doing whilst traveling!) or make the unsettling call to leave those things in your pack back at the hostel. Years ago during a trip to Spain with my brother, he actually hid some things under his mattress, only to find those items gone when we returned to the room.
PacSafe Travelsafe is the answer for everyone, no matter the context of your travels! Taking a little daytrip to a new city and sightseeing for the afternoon, but don’t want to lug around valuables you’ve got in your car? Perfect! The Pacsafe Travelsafe works for that! Going scooba diving and want to keep your things dry and safe back at your hostel/hotel/Air B&B/Couchsurfers place/beach hut/you name it? Great! Pacsafe Travelsafe works for that too! You can literally use this handy little portable safe anywhere that you can find an immovable fixture. Pipes, a bed frame, metal/iron railings, and the like.
Pacsafe Travelsafe comes in a few sizes. The Pacsafe Travelsafe 5L GII Portable Safe is great for your phone, wallet, passport, kindles and tablets, jewelry, watches, camera, etc. And the Pacsafe Travelsafe 12L GII Portable Safe is perfect for laptops as well, or if you are traveling with a companion you both can use one 12L, most likely with room to spare.

Pacsafe Slingsafe LX50 Anti-Theft Mini Cross-Body Bag
This is a great size, as well as practical and lightweight. In the past when I’ve looked around for “anti-theft” bags or purses, what I generally find are chunky bags, made of nylon or some other cheap fabric. Not only did I want the security of an anti-theft bag, but I also wanted it to look a bit attractive — is that too much for a girl to ask!? When I started getting into PacSafe products, the Pacsafe Slingsafe Cross-Body Bag caught my eye. I love wearing my bags and purses across my chest, as it’s just that much more secure. This bag comes in a few other colors, I happen to like the tweed grey as it goes with any outfit!

Pacsafe Metrosafe LS350 Anti-Theft 15L Backpack
The Pacsafe Metrosafe, like any other Pacsafe bag, has built-in RFIDsafe blocking material, as well as eXomesh Slashguard to prevent anyone from cutting or slashing to get to your things. It’s slim, lightweight, classy but not flashy, and is compartmentalized for ultimate organization. Fantastic for a day or weekend trip. You can see how safe everything really is while you watch this guy load up his PacSafe Metrosafe Backpack, although I can’t say the same for his poor umbrella …

These items also make for great gifts and are all under $100!

Hi Courtney,
Great Article! I didn’t know these kind of bags existed, they are so cool. I am sure a lot more women would want these attractive secure bags, especially when travelling. The cross body bag is cute! I will be passing this on.

I also had never heard of Pacsafe before. I am about to make some trips so I´m going to try one of the models of Packsafe. There is always the worry to leave your important stuff in the Hotel room, and with one of these backpacks I´m going to have more peace of mind in my travels. Thanks for the info.
Glad to have been of some help! People don’t generally think of things like this until it’s too late and they’ve already had something stolen… preventative measures are so important!
Really great article ! I like the Backpack a lot ! It’s a great size and not too flashy like you said. The video review is really informative. I did not know about PacSafe, I will definitely look into it next time I go on an adventure.
It always surprises me when people haven’t heard of PacSafe — they are a really highly rated and solid company! Thanks for stopping by and happy you found it helpful!
It looks like a really good company. I might even get one of those backpack for work, I like all the small compartments and the fact that we can just lock things up ! I also go in youth hostel sometimes, and I’m always being careful with my bag and all the accessible zippers… thanks for sharing this great gear !
Yep, I hear ya! PacSafe is a terrific option for so many practical purposes, but just as importantly it’s great for peace of mind!
