Packing a whole philosophy into one small phrase is nearly impossible, yet we tend to try and do it anyway. Travel quotes are no different. Who among us hasn’t heard JRR Tolkien’s phrase, “Not all those who wander are lost” taken from his poem written back in 1954? Or perhaps the coined phrase, “Traveling is the only thing you can buy that will make you richer?”
I think we can agree these quotes are timeless, but also a bit dusty. Although some travel quotes are definitely more worn than others, there are still several floating around that are both quirky and perhaps a bit more unconventional.
