Here’s a short list of travel accessories for women that I find to be very helpful to have while traveling. Whether that be a weekend trip to another city, an overnight greyhound, or months abroad. Check out these 7 great additions to your own packing list, or make them gifts for a friend!

Cotton Sleep Mask – 100% Blindfold, Comfortable & Smooth (Grey)
This particular sleep mask is more sanitary than your average mask since this one is washable, which can be a concern to those with acne problems or oily skin. The soft cotton doesn’t leave marks on your face (my biggest pet peeve when it comes to sleep masks), and the cushion on the nose is super comfy and blocks out all light. I had my doubts when I purchased this because as sleep masks go I hadn’t had the best of luck, but I read several of the reviews (the majority being 5 stars) and for it’s price I thought it was worth a try! I’m so happy that I did, I love this mask and it’s carrying case. Tiny and lightweight – perfect for travel!
Violife Slim Sonic Electric Toothbrush (Hawaii Edition)
This travel size electric toothbrush comes in several different colors, or you can choose a specific destination – the one picture above is Hawaii themed. You can also purchase traveling cases (hard and soft), different toothbrush heads, and other accessories separately. This is a top-rated toothbrush, fashionable and the perfect size for tossing in your pack and taking off! Give your daily toothbrush a vacation too, and leave it at home while you take your Violife Slim wherever you go!
BOCTOP 10 in 1 Stainless Steel Nail Clippers set & Nail Care Personal Manicure Pedicure Set For Manicure, Pedicure, Home and Travel
This compact case is stylish, compact, and practical. It has everything you could possibly need for daily finger and toenail care. Dirty nails? Hangnails? Cuticle build up? No worries! This case includes a pair of scissors to cut small things; threads, plastic ties, etc. Also has a nail file of course, and tweezers. Standard size elastic bands keep all tools from moving around within the case, and if the tweezers ever get dull (somehow I find that tweezers do – how does that even happen?!) then you can also replace them separately and easily slide your new pair into it’s specific spot.
Cutex Nail Polish Remover Pads
You’re out in warm weather, sportin’ your flip flops and taking a bunch of photo’s and it dawns on you that your nail polish is a month old and lookin haggard! Who wants to locate cotton balls and a bottle of nail polish remover? Better yet, who wants to lug it around with them just for the one or two times it may be used during a trip? And on top of that — think of your hostel mates, who wants to smell those strong acetone fumes when you pop that bottle open and start going to town on your nails!? I’ll answer all of those questions with two words: No one! Take advantage of these Cutex Nail Polish Remover Pads. Easily stowed away in your purse or pack, odor-free, and one wipe will suffice for all ten of your nails. I love these and take them with me whenever I know I’ll be gone for a month or longer.
Wine Wipes – 1 Box of 15 Individual Wipes
These are fantastic for a few occasions – Wine tasting? Obviously! Fancy dinner? Yep! Just chillin at a friends house drinking wine and binge-watching Netflix? Certainly! When it comes to wine, I’m mainly a white wine drinker so these aren’t such an immediate need for me in most wine drinking situations. However, they are great just to clean my teeth when I’m away from home and unable to take the time to brush. Keep these handy little wipes in your purse (or pack if you’re traveling!) and use when needed. Each compact case comes with 15 wipes. No more embarrassing red-blue teeth for you, or your friends!
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo
Let’s face it, if you’re outdoorsy like me you’re probably always looking forward to a camping trip, sleeping on the beach, or just passing out in your car in a parkinglot on your epic road trip journey! But who of us looks forward to the morning after? No one! There’s so many times during our adventures that we aren’t near a shower, and that’s okay — what isn’t okay is looking like you haven’t had a shower! Have no fear, let me introduce you to Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo. This dry shampoo is not only great for your hair but it’s also quite inexpensive. Not Your Mothers offers quite the selection depending on your specific hair type, and in varying scents and sizes. Pictured above is Clean Freak Tapioca, but be sure to check out Beach Babe Texturizing, Plump For Joy Thickening, and Clean Freak Refreshing just for starters!
Gillette Venus Snap Embrace Women’s Razor
Love this! Gone are the days of sticking your regular size razor in a ziploc bag and hoping it doesn’t smell like mold a month into your backpacking trip! Gillettes Snap razor comes with it’s own perfect little carrying case that it “snaps” right into. It’s compact size saves space and it’s five blades mean you aren’t sacrificing your clean shave for any of these great perks! Just because you’re not home, doesn’t mean you can’t feel as clean and smooth as you do when you are!

So, just the other day my girlfriend and I were discussing going to Hawaii. She had mentioned that she has never been and to me that was crazy talk LOL. I had the pleasure of living there for 3 years while my mother was stationed there. *Side note: Have you ever heard someone say that Hawaii is overrated? My follow up statement is usually, “Have you ever been?” There is a reason why they call it paradise. The smell of the air, the feeling in the atmosphere, the vistas…. I could go on and on. I like to purchase gifts… Read more »
I usually say Florida is overrated (and yes, I have been there lol) But I don’t say that about Hawaii! I have not yet been there. I get some crazy looks from people who know I’ve been to the other side of the world, “But NOT Hawaii??” they’ll exclaim. I’ve been looking into doing a WorkAway there, perhaps a surf camp.
I’ve never really thought about purchasing themed gifts and manifesting destinations before! I think that’s a great angle to take. I suppose you’ll be getting your g/f that toothbrush 😉
My wife swears by keeping a small set of clippers and a nail file with her at all times when she travels. I travel a lot for work and it really does come in handy. The clippers are a life saver beyond just from a grooming standpoint, they are really handy if you need to sew a button or clip off a hangnail or something as well! Most of these accessories would be handy for men as well! Great post.
Thanks Craig! I agree that a lot of these items would also be useful for men 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by!
Nice article. I love travelling and I will definitely be purchasing a few of these items! I really love that they are all very practical and could be classified as “needs” instead of “wants” – that alone always justifies adding them to my packing list!
Hey Lucia! I love to see people excited about new things that they will find helpful on their journeys. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Such a lovely article! Full of different and useful tips ?
Thanks for reading and happy you enjoyed it!
Hi Courtney, After reading your post I am ready to travel! No, but jokes aside, it is a nice post, I travel a lot so I bookmarked your page so I can come back when I will be travelling!
That’s awesome, Carole! Happy to have ya around and best wishes on your next adventure!
I am going to buy the Cutex nail polish remover pads for my wife, she is always struggling to clean her nails when we travel, this product will help her a lot and is portable, and as you said the smell of acetone is not very comfortable. Also the razor looks great, I think she will be very happy with these two products.
Great tips, thanks.
Ruben, I don’t think you can go wrong with purchasing those products for your wife. I really think she’ll love them (I think ANY woman would, which is why I listed them here!) and hey, if for some reason she doesn’t — it’s not like you’ve spent a fortune. The prices are totally reasonable!
Hey Courtney,
I am a big fan of the “not your mothers” brand. I love, love, love, it! I recently just purchased that travel razor for my daughter for her trip to “Cape May”. She came back with great reviews and loved it. I am interested in trying those wine wipes…no more joker face.
Tammy, so happy you stopped by! I’m always surprised by the sheer amount of women who haven’t heard of Not Your Mothers brand — I think it’s fantastic! The razor is fabulous, I concur with your daughter — I love it! If you try out the wine wipes, be sure to come back and let me know what ya thought!
Hi Courtney,
I would have to have that mask Lol! I can not sleep without a mask on my face, I don’t know why. It can be pitch black and I still have to have one. I can’t stand the band around some of them though so I like that your pick is soft cotton, and washable. I would probably have to have a travel pillow because I have a bad back and the car rides are a pain or a long plane ride would probably do the same. Great list, thanks for sharing!!!
Hey Melissa, Thanks for stopping by! Yes I really do love this mask, I totally agree about the band around most – if it’s even the slightest bit too tight it’ll leave me with a headache! Perhaps I’ll do a post in the future and include a travel pillow review 🙂
Those wine wipes are a clever idea. I’ve never heard of them. Lots of great tips thank you. What about a Wenis? lol.
Haha, a Wenis? Isn’t that the skin on your elbow!?
Those wine wipes are so interesting! I’ve never heard of them before. I’m a white wine drinker but I do drink a lot of coffee and I think these would still work great.
Oh, that’s true Krystal — I’m not a coffee drinker so it never even occurred to me that they would be good for coffee stains. But you’re right! Probably work for tea as well!
The manicure pedicure set looks very handy. As an outdoor lover I know the importance of keeping your nails well trimmed, so yes, I am a man, and I carry something like this. Very nice information, and I know that my girlfriend will be very happy to have all the extra tools included in the set as well. Thank you.
Yes, I know this post is titled Accessories for Women, but men can definitely find a few of these items useful as well!
Your choices are very good, little packages for travel are the best! I want to take it all with me, love the post 🙂
Hello Gayla, Thank you for reading my blog! Yes, lightweight and compact items are much easier to pack and carry with you. I try to keep this in mind when I recommend certain products. Cheers!
Thank you! I am always looking for handy travel accessories and my birthday is coming up so I think I will treat myself 🙂 I love the wine wipes and the travel electric toothbrush (especially love that you can close it – I am weird about my toothbrush).
I’m funny about my toothbrush as well, so I really like that they have a pretty wide selection of designs and that they all have caps. Happy you found a few of these helpful!
I’m always looking for cool things to travel with and your choices are awesome! Thanks for putting it all together in one neat little package!
Thanks for checking them out, Diane! Hope to see ya around again!
